Who can see your reposts on TikTok?
Quick answerChecked October 2026
If your account is public, anyone can see your reposts on your profile, and they can appear in other people's For You feeds labelled with your name. If your account is private, only your followers can see them. TikTok doesn't tell you who looked at your reposts, so assume anyone who can see your profile can see them.
Coming to Chrome, Edge, Firefox, iPhone and Android.

Check what other people see
The easiest way to know what’s visible is to look at your profile the way a stranger would.
- Open a private or incognito window in your browser.
- Go to tiktok.com and search for your username, without logging in.
- Open your profile and look for the Reposts tab.
- If you can see your reposts there, so can anyone else.
To see exactly what’s in there and how far back it goes, run a repost check.
Keeping your reposts to yourself
There’s no setting that hides only reposts. You can make your account private, which limits reposts to followers, or remove them. Removing is the only option that hides reposts from followers too, and Detok can remove them all at once.
Troubleshooting
Someone you don’t want seeing them still can
If they follow you, a private account won’t stop them. Remove them as a follower or block them.
Old reposts you’d forgotten about
The Reposts tab keeps everything, however old. Scroll to the bottom, or let a Detok scan show you your oldest repost straight away.
People replied to a repost and you’d rather they hadn’t
Delete the replies one by one, or remove the repost, which deletes all its replies with it.

Can you see who viewed your reposts on TikTok?
No. TikTok doesn't show a list of people who viewed your reposts. Profile view history, if you have it turned on, shows some people who visited your profile, but not who looked at your Reposts tab.
Can people view my reposts anonymously?
If your account is public, yes. Anyone can open your profile without being logged in, and some third-party sites show public profiles without the visitor appearing anywhere. If that worries you, go private or remove the reposts.
Can my followers see what I repost?
Yes. Reposts can appear in your followers' For You feeds with your profile photo and nickname, and they're on your profile's Reposts tab.
Do people get notified when I repost their video?
Reposts are labelled with your name when they appear in feeds, so the creator and others can see who reposted. Removing the repost takes that label away.
Who can reply to my reposts?
Anyone who can see your reposted content can reply to it. TikTok notes that your comment privacy settings don't apply to repost replies.
