How to hide reposts on TikTok

How to hide reposts on TikTok: your two real options
Since TikTok doesn’t offer a hide switch for reposts, there are two things that work.
Option 1: make your account private
This hides your Reposts tab from everyone who doesn’t follow you. It also hides your videos and the rest of your profile from them.
- Go to your Profile.
- Tap the menu button in the top corner.
- Tap Settings and privacy.
- Tap Privacy.
- Turn on Private account.
Option 2: remove the reposts you don’t want seen
Removing a repost is the only way to hide it from everyone, followers included. For a handful, follow our guide to undo a repost. For all of them, Detok clears your whole Reposts tab at once and checks each one is gone.

You went private, but someone can still see your reposts
They follow you. Private accounts still show reposts to approved followers. Remove them as a follower, or block them if you don’t want any contact.
You need to stay public
Creators and businesses often can’t go private. In that case, removing reposts is the only way to keep them off your profile. Check what’s in your Reposts tab first so you know what you’re dealing with.

Can I hide my reposts on TikTok?
