How to repost on TikTok

To repost on TikTok, open the video, tap Share, then tap Repost. You can also press and hold the video and tap Repost, or tap a friend's profile photo at the bottom of a video they reposted. The video goes to your followers' For You feeds and your Reposts tab.

How to repost on TikTok, three ways
From the Share menu
- Open the video you want to repost.
- Tap Share.
- Tap Repost.
By pressing and holding
- On the video, press and hold anywhere on the screen.
- Tap Repost in the menu.
From a friend’s repost
- On a video a friend reposted, tap their profile photo at the bottom.
- Tap Repost.
There’s no confirmation step. Once you tap Repost, it’s live.
Reposting now, clearing up later
Reposting takes one tap, and removing takes three, one repost at a time. That’s why Reposts tabs grow.

Troubleshooting
There’s no Repost option
Update TikTok and restart the app. If it’s missing on only one video, that video probably can’t be reposted. Our guide to why you can’t repost covers each cause.
You reposted the wrong video
Open it, tap Share, then Delete repost. It’s removed immediately, along with any replies.
You don’t want followers to see a video you like
Use Add to Favorites instead. Reposts are meant to be seen.
