When ClearTok is the better pick
To be fair about it: if you need your reposts gone today, ClearTok is available and Detok isn’t yet. If you want a downloadable log of every deletion, ClearTok offers one.
Detok is the better fit if you want to see the full picture before anything changes, if you use Firefox, or if you want every removal checked.
ClearTok not working? Try these fixes
These fixes apply to most browser-based repost removers, ClearTok included.
It says you’re not logged in
Open tiktok.com in the same browser and the same browser profile, and log in there. Extensions use your browser’s TikTok session, so a login in the app or another browser doesn’t count.
It stops partway through
Keep the TikTok tab open and in the foreground, and don’t refresh it while the tool is running. Some browsers slow down background tabs, which can stall the run.
Reposts reappear after it finishes
Refresh your Reposts tab. If videos are still there, TikTok may have paused your actions during the run, which means those removals didn’t go through. Wait a few hours, then run it again.
TikTok says you’re doing that too fast
Stop for a few hours. Removing hundreds of reposts quickly can trigger TikTok’s temporary limits. When you start again, use a slower setting if the tool has one.
The extension won’t open or does nothing
Update your browser and the extension, then turn off other TikTok-related extensions, since two of them on the same page can conflict. If it still fails, contact ClearTok’s support through its store listing.

If you’ve been searching Reddit for a TikTok repost remover, these are the questions worth asking of any tool, ours included:
- Does it ask for my TikTok password? It shouldn’t need to.
- Which permissions does it request? Access to tiktok.com makes sense. Access to every website doesn’t.
- Does it confirm what it removed? Otherwise you’re refreshing to find out.
- Does it slow down on its own? Speed is what gets actions paused.
- When was it last updated? TikTok changes often, and abandoned tools break.

Is Detok the same as ClearTok?
No. They're separate products made by different companies. Both remove TikTok reposts in bulk, but they differ in how they report, pace and check removals.
Is ClearTok safe?
We can't vouch for another company's product. Before installing any repost remover, check what permissions it asks for, whether it wants your TikTok password, and when its listing was last updated.
Why is ClearTok not removing all my reposts?
The usual causes are being logged out of tiktok.com, the TikTok tab being closed or refreshed mid-run, or TikTok temporarily pausing actions. The troubleshooting steps on this page cover each one.
Can I use Detok and ClearTok together?
Run one at a time. Two tools removing reposts in the same account at once makes it more likely that TikTok pauses your actions.
